We're pretty sure those block are defensive and from WWII. There wouldn't be any reason for them to be industrial and there are tank traps all the way along the beach at Fairbourne. Also these blocks are not far from where the commandos were stationed in Mawddach Crescent (where the whimsical sentry boxes are on the approach to the houses).
