If they're all the same type of gold, you could certainly get them melted down and made into one or two nice rings. My mother's ring was much narrower than mine and my ring was rather worn and probably a bit thinner than it was originally. That meant that the two melted together and remade into one ring worked well.
I don't know whether it's always been the case, but I've noticed recently that quite a few jewellers are offering to make new pieces out of old jewellery. I have a bunch of jewelled rings that were my mother-in-law's. They're not the type of ring I would wear, even if I had them enlarged to fit. They also have whatever is the opposite of sentimental value for me. I still haven't decided what to do with them, but remaking into a pendant and/or earrings for my daughter is one possibility.
