A couple of quiet days

heleninwalesI've been having a couple of quiet domestic days. It felt as though I'd been doing a lot of strenuous outdoor things over the last few days, going for walks, doing the big food shop, cutting all the front grass etc. So I decreed it was time for a couple of days of rest. I made a loaf in the bread machine yesterday and also a big pot of soup for lunches this week.
So far today. I have dealt with some emails, signed our local Quaker meeting up to a new online Quaker group who are doing outreach. I doubt we'll get any enquiries from new potential members, but you never know. I also spent some time knitting a sock while listening to a Welsh TV programme (language practice), sliced the loaf I made yesterday and removed 3 tiny trees (one an oak) that were trying to grow right by the wall of our house.
More quiet and non-strenuous things will happen this afternoon.
