This week's theme was: B is for Bench

I posted yesterday to say that I hadn't managed to photograph a bench for last week's theme, so this morning I went out for a short walk round town to see what I could find. There are benches at intervals all along the path that runs beside the playing fields. You can sit here and admire the view.



And these stone and wood benches are great for sitting on while waiting for someone.

The thing I really liked about dancing at Lyme Regis on Saturday was how many benches there are along the seafront! It is so nice to be able to sit down between dances. Some towns are really stingy with the benches...

None of the benches were occupied as I walked past yesterday, but it was early so people would just be setting off along the Mawddach Trail and therefore not yet in need of a rest. Neither was there anything happening on the playing fields. But the benches are popular at other times.

There are also lots of benches at Barmouth (nearest seaside place), but they are very popular so if you want a seat in the tourist season you have to walk some distance from the shops.
