An autumn walk

heleninwalesJust over a week ago G woke up with a painful foot. I don't know what he'd done. Perhaps he'd banged or strained it somehow and it had swollen or bruised overnight. Anyway, we had to skip our usual weekly walk. It still wasn't 100% by last Sunday morning, so I suggested a simple walk along the Mawddach Trail to Penmaenpool. The other reason for not wanting to drive anywhere was that there was a Quaker Area Meeting on Zoom in the afternoon, so I wanted to be back from the walk in time to eat lunch without rushing.
It seems to be a good autumn for all kinds of berries. The wild roses in the hedge were full of rose hips.
G's foot was pretty much OK, but he reminded me not to walk too fast a couple of times. Usually it's me asking him to slow down a bit. When we reached Penmaenpool, there was a surprise. I'm counting this photo for the weekly alphabet theme of "Joyful". I hope this photo is joyful enough. The owners of these little brightly coloured cars certainly seemed happy to be out for a drive on a lovely autumn day.
The little Westfield sports cars can be assembled from a kit or bought ready made.
As we watched, they set off and drove over the toll bridge. They're so low to the ground that you can't really see them, but there are four of them in this photo.
